The ALICE symposium "Transforming the energy system to achieve the 2°C target: investment risks and policy challenges" is now over. Thanks again to all participants for coming and making the event as successful and interesting. To all others who could not be in Potsdam, symposium presentations and a summary are now available.

By means of a symposium we will contrast findings from the ALICE project by insights and thoughts prom policy and business. The discussion with invited speakers and other participants shall inspire future political and economic decision making.

Date and Venue

The symposium will take place from 11.-12.03.2010 at the Steigenberger Sanssouci, Luisenplatz, Potsdam.

Participation and Fees

The symposium will feature invited talks and open discussion among all participants. The symposium and the symposium dinner will be free of charge. However, travel costs and accomodation will have to be covered by yourself. There is, however, an upper limit of 30 participants.

Registration

To register, fill in the registration form and send it via e-mail to Johann Grüneweg, or via fax to +49-(0)331-288 2570. Please indicate your arrival and departure dates and if you plan to join the symposium dinner on Thursday evening at the Steigenberger hotel. This will help us to organise the catering.

Accomodation

Whenever possible please book one of the pre-booked rooms at the Steigenberger Sanssouci at 90 € per night. Don't forget to mention the code "ALICE" when you make your booking.
If there are no rooms left at the Steigenberger, there is a list of hotels and a list of guesthouses in Potsdam including contact details. Please try to get a room there.

Getting there

The hotel is located in Potsdam close to the historical park Sanssouci. The hotel provides a map and information on how to get there.
